Community partnerships are critical to our public schools, so we look forward to welcoming 113 Principal Partners to our schools through A Principal Experience on Tuesday, October 8. This event provides a unique opportunity for community leaders to experience the rewards as well as the challenges our principals, teachers and students face on a daily basis.
There will be 3 people serving as the Principal Partners at Cherokee Heights this year: Vernon Andren, Optimist Club of Downtown Madison; Erica Martin, Junior League of Madison; and Pamela A. Wilson, Westminster Presbyterian Church
A Principal Experience is a proven way for leaders in education and the greater community to share ideas, resources and a sense of responsibility for our public schools. By providing a first-hand perspective on the decisions and responsibilities principals face daily, Principal Partners are inspired to take a greater interest in public education. At the same time, A Principal Experience provides Madison Metropolitan School District principals and staff an opportunity to create meaningful relationships with individuals in the private sector.
