Cherokee Staff Visit Elementary Feeder Schools for Q&A

Cherokee Heights Middle School Staff will be visiting our feeder schools, Lincoln Elementary, Leopold Elementary and Thoreau Elementary, in January for the purpose of scheduling all fifth grade students for the 2021-22 school year.

Thoreau Elementary School - January 28, 2021

Leopold Elementary School - January 25, 2021

Lincoln Elementary School - January 19, January 28 and January 29, 2021

Course Selection for Incoming 6th Grade Students

Cherokee Heights staff is now making important staffing and scheduling plans for next year.

Together with your student, read and discuss the music course selection options and music experience levels. All 6th graders, per state requirements, participate in a music class.

Submit this electronic form: 6th Grade Cherokee Heights Course Selection Form 2021-2022 by Friday, February 5, 2021. You will then receive an email confirming your student’s choices. If you would like to make changes to those choices, please contact Nehemirah Barrett at If we do not hear from you by Monday, March 1st we will assume that you approve of your student’s choices and we will proceed with scheduling.

It is highly recommended that your family takes some time to make a thoughtful decision as classes cannot be changed after the first two weeks of school and these courses are considered a year long study. Your support and adherence to this policy is greatly appreciated.
